Assistant Winemaker Vacancy at Tokara Wine Estate

TOKARA Wine and Olive Farm has the above opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment. A relevant tertiary qualification in viticulture & oenology, previous winemaking experience and knowledge of SAWIS administration are requirements.  International winemaking experience will be to the applicants advantage.  A valid driver’s lisence is a further pre-requisite for this position.

Under the guidance of the Winemaker you will assist in all aspects of: coordinating harvesting activities * the winemaking process * blending and stabilisation of wines * managing quality control systems * health and safety management * stock control and procurement * SAWIS/IPW recordkeeping and administration * personnel management * overseeing bottling runs * cellar administration and all other tasks that are normally associated with such a position.
