Woolworths Senior Wine Buyer Vacancy

Woolworths currently has a vacancy for the above mentioned position. The company requires an individual with practical as well as theoretical wine experience to source and buy product in support of the Category and Food Strategies, through effective supplier and profit management.

The ideal candidate should be able to lead and co-ordinate the development and execution of the Category Operating plan in order to deliver to the department KPI’s. The successful candidate will report to the Buying Manager: Wine & Beverages.

The candidate will be responsible for the following activities: Negotiating prices & promotions, implementing a promotional calendar, managing supplier relationships, establishing a commercially viable range and managing financial accountabilities.

Qualifications and Requirements: Commercial Degree/diploma, experience in an FMCG environment as well as a wine supplier base will be preferable and understanding of supply chain principles and processes.
