DGB is recognised as one of South Africa’s leading wine and spirits producers who offer this attractive career opportunity to a young Winemaker.
The incumbent will be involved in all winemaking processes from intake of grapes through to final filtration and bottling preparation of the entire Boschendal wine range. It includes:
General administration in the cellar eg. SAWIS, SAP
ordering of wine additives and consumables required in the cellar
stock management of bulk wine and dry goods
Timekeeping of cellar personnel, issuing of work orders and monitoring execution thereof.
Health and safety within the cellar
On-the-job training of all cellar staff.
The successful candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Winemaking. He/she should also offer a few years experience of the equipment and processes in a processing cellar which produces both red and white wine. Also required is the ability to work systematically and accurately against tight deadlines. Literacy in SAP and MS Office will be to the candidate’s advantage.
A market-related inclusive remuneration package will be negotiated according to experience offered.
