Our client Vinpro, situated in Paarl, is the independent service organisation that provides specialized services to South African wine producers and represents them on various forums. They currently have an opportunity for an energetic and dynamic person to join their WineLand Media team.

Do you have what it takes to be an influential opinion former in the world of wine? WineLand Media is looking for a talented writer and social media guru to join the team as journalist and online editor.

It should go without saying that WineLand’s next authority in wine writing should have an interest in wine and the wine industry. Interpersonal skills are also paramount – you should be able to work independently, as well as in a team. Proficiency in both Afrikaans and English is required.

The successful candidate will report to the Managing Editor and will manage monthly features, WineLand’s social media profile and www.wineland.co.za. This position also entails attending wine industry events, writing articles and blogs. It may require juggling many tasks (or wine bottles) and necessitates an organised and thorough individual.

Requirements:  A degree/diploma in journalism.  Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in journalism. A comprehensive understanding of social media, search engine optimisation (SEO) and website management. Computer literate (MS Office) and excellent writing skills.
