Meerendal Estate offers some of the best coastal terroir for grapes to deliver strong aromas.
Oakleaf and Tukulu soils allow the vineyards to strive on dryland conditions, without additional irrigation the grapes tend to have lower yields with more concentrated aromas.
The estate is on SOUTH & EAST facing slopes, cooler climate slopes with the “kaapse dokter” having a great cooling effect on the warm summer days with the atlantic breeze coming from Blouberg to enrich our micro-climate.
The vineyards are Wieta and Sawis acredited
EMI Soil variation maps and NDVI(vegetation variation) maps are available on request. The vineyards are well looked after and in balance.
Sauvignon blanc: R 9000/ton
Pinotage: R 9500/ton
Shiraz: R 9500/ton
Merlot: R 9500/ton
All vineyards are trellised and Prices include harvesting cost, buyers should organise own crates, transportation could be arranged if needed.
Prices can be negotiated if large tonage is requested.
