Purpose: Oversee daily operations in the wine cellar and ensure best practices in all related wine cellar activities. Reporting to the Winemaker in pursuit of excellence and attention to detail in all aspects of our Cellar Management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage
- SKOP 3/4 or any industry related qualifications
- A minimum of 2 -3 years relevant experience in a wine Cellar environment, with supervisory experience
- Good computer skills ( MS Office)

- Must be practical/analytical individual
- Knowledge of quality management systems, i.e. GMP, ISO, HACCP, etc.
- Sound knowledge of wine process and technology
Job Summary:
- Oversee all cellar activities and that all tasks are done thoroughly and effectively throughout the year including harvest time
- Planning and coordinating all cellar activities
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
- Provide clear and specific guidelines to all cellar staff
- Following up and monitor of wine analysis and specifications
- Interact with wine makers and wine service manager to maximize operation efficiently
- Compile ad hoc task lists for staff
- Manage the MDWT
- Creating of maintenance work orders on SAP and follow up on whether work orders are complete
- Organise Bulk transport with external supplier
- Manage and assist the Health and Safety program
- Ensure H&S Principals are applied in the wine Cellar
- Show strong leadership in the supervision of all staff and treat all personnel with respect
