After you”ve tasted the stunning array of Meerlust wines, youll move onto the next prominent wine farm: Kanonkop, where the big guns roar. Situated on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, it confidently boasts some of South Africas most distinguished red wines.
The Kanonkop pinotage was one of The Platters Guides wines of the year in 2015 and continues to be a celebrated example of South African wine making.
From Kanonkop you will be delivered to the next winery, Muratie, a place of rich heritage and unsurpassed character. Truly, the tasting room is built into an old, disused cellar and is adorned with cobwebs and paintings of the previous owners mistress.
