Sommelier / Wine Steward Vacancy Mpumalanga

Agile Minds is now searching for a Wine Steward / Sommelier to work at a 5* Lodge, Mpumalanga province.

Market related dependent on qualifications and experience.

Live in position.

Core function of the position

Wine service, stock and control within the lodges.

Wine service and recommendations

Cellar stock and control and physically transfer wines

Related admin – invoicing, sales etc.

Communication verbal and written within the team to ensure best guest experience

The successful candidate will have the following attributes and experience

 Matric

Wine Diploma – sommelier qualification

Basic international wine course, WSET level 2/3

Computer literate (Excel, Word documents, MS Office emails)

Experience in hospitality / guest interactions and service

Valid SA drivers’ license

Very personable and presentable with sound wine knowledge

Passionate about offering excellent service

Excellent verbal and electronic communication skills with great attention to detail

Physical stamina to transfer wines and mental stamina to work long hours

Organised with excellent admin skills and a developmental approach to staff
