Award-winning Stellenbosch based wine estate currently has an exciting position available for  for a dynamic & sales-driven Junior Wine Marketer that will assist the Marketing Manager in growing local wine sales.

APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary Marketing qualification completed
• Cape Wine Academy Wine Training completed
• Min 1 – 2 years previous marketing / sales experience gained within the wine industry
• Good knowledge of social media marketing
• Must be well presented with excellent communication skills
• Fluent in both Afrikaans & English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be target driven & motivated by sales
• Must be willing to travel regularly on a national basis for marketing purposes
• Drivers license + own reliable transport

KPA’S

• Assist the Marketing Manager with day-to-day tasks.
• Social Media Marketing & Website maintenance
• Expanding the local trade market on a national basis
• Trade visits on a national basis
• Identifying new local markets
• Retail listings
• Setting up new distributor agreements
• Organising & attending wine events in the local trade
• Inviting local trade & media to wine estate for personalised tastings
• Networking with key tourism partners, ie tour guides for purposes of group tastings
• Networking with agents & importers
• Representing the wine estate at corporate tastings, wine shows & events
• Assist with admin- & travel arrangements for international wine shows
• Managing the Wine Club
• Coming up with new & unique tasting / paired tasting ideas for the tastingroom
• Continuous training of tastingroom staff
