Senior Wine Tasting Ambassador Vacancy

Do you want to join a modern, world class destination and be part of a tasting room with a view?

Our client, a producer of award winning wines is looking to appoint a senior wine ambassador to offer top class hosting and wine tasting experiences. In addition to being the 2ic to the cellar door manager you will be responsible for general cellar door administrative duties and tasting room stock.

Duties and responsibilities will include (but not limited to)

Administration

-daily cash and credit card cash ups

-capture daily cash ups on excel and point of sale

-monitor excel and cash ups with cellar door manager daily

-Thursday morning meeting – 08:30 with cellar door manager

-check emails for enquiries and respond to guests.

-communicate tastings and special requests with tasting room staff and cellar door manager

-process wine orders

Sales

-daily receiving, welcoming and serving of guests in the tasting room

-hosting tastings and cellar tours

-selling of wine and shop items

-process international sales orders on applicable order forms or tablet applications

-introduce wine club membership to public and record member details

-upsell of current and older vintages of wine

-assist guests in the shop area and upselling of shop items

Stock

-ordering of wine stock and checking in of new stock

-stock shelves and wine fridges with appropriate wine and shop items

-daily wine stock take

-Tuesday and Friday shop item stock take

-check packaging (wine boxes) and collect from storeroom weekly

General

-ensure brochures, tasting sheets and wine distributor pamphlets are stocked in tasting room

-closing and lock up of tasting room

The destination is open Tuesdays to Sundays.

Tuesdays and Wednesday:  10am – 6pm

Thursdays – Saturdays:        10am – 7pm

Sundays:                               10am – 3pm

You will be required to work Tuesday – Saturday / Wednesday – Sunday (alternative months)
