Tasting Room Ambassador Vacancy Stellenbosch

A historic wine farm in Stellenbosch seeks to employ a tasting room ambassador on a casual basis.

Duties will include:

– Reporting to the tasting room manager
– Presenting tastings and estate heritage
– Wine sales
– Setting up the tasting room
– Maintaining an organised tasting room environment
– Committing to monthly shifts
– Cash ups

Minimum requirements:
– The position requires the candidate to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays, private events and the festive season
– Basic wine knowledge is essential
– Fluent in English and Afrikaans (European language beneficial)
– Own transport
– Previous tasting room experience would be advantageous, but not essential
– Strong communication and sales skills
– Attention to detail and being punctual
– A friendly and professional demeanour
– A willingness to learn and be a team player

Remuneration:
– Hourly rate
– Commission on sales
