Winemaker / Farm Manager Vacancy Wellington

Looking for a ambitious, hard working winemaker / farm manager to join established wine farm in Wellington.

Responsibilities:

* Directs and coordinates worker activities, such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting
* harvest and production of quality wines
* purchasing of chemicals and other relevant production stock
* quality control
* stock control
* maintenance and housekeeping
* wine samples and -administration
* personnel management
* wine tasting and external liaison

The ideal candidate has:

• a formal qualification (degree or diploma) in Viticulture and Oenology
• more than 3 years’ experience in winemaking
• technical knowledge of cellar machinery
• excellent interpersonal communication skills
• practical leadership and management skills
• detail oriented, results driven and conscientious personality
