Winemaker Vacancy Franschoek

Our Client, a well-established medium sized cellar (400 tonnes) with established superior wine brands, seeks an experienced (8 years plus)  winemaker who wishes to build on their existing reputation for excellence in winemaking by both replicating and developing their superior brand offering.

Our ideal candidate will have successfully completed an appropriate winemaking qualification from a recognised wine institution, have trained at one or more of the leading wineries in the South Africa and possibly abroad, plus have been responsible for the full management of a medium to large winery for at least 5 years. Ideally the successful candidate will have excellent cellar experience along with modern wine development skills and abilities and have been responsible for the development of a range of varietals from vineyard to finished product. This should be combined with excellent communication and people skills, as well as management ability and computer literacy (MS Office, accounting and industry packages).
